Your HomeBuy Agent will assess your application and advise you of all the HomeBuy options for which you may be eligible.
The maximum income allowed is £60,000* per annum (single or joint). You will need to have access to (or savings) an amount of money to cover the initial costs of buying a home plus it is essential you have a deposit. This amount varies by Local HomeBuy Agent and by the purchase price or share of the home.

- You cannot afford to currently buy a home suitable for your housing needs within a reasonable travelling distance of your work place, without assistance.
- You are a British or EU/EEA citizen or have indefinite leave to remain in the UK (Customers without indefinite leave to remain who are interested in buying a home, must be able to demonstrate that they are able to raise a mortgage with an acceptable lender and that they can afford to sustain home ownership in the longer term)
- You have savings or access to at least £1,800 to cover the cost of buying a home, this amount is a guideline figure and will vary depending on the HomeBuy product you are pursuing.
- You are employed on a permanent contract of employment or be able to demonstrate that you can afford to sustain the costs of home ownership
- You must have a good credit history.
- You must have a sufficient deposit to buy the home you require and obtain a mortgage for your share of the property you are looking to purchase
